YAKARTA – As Indonesia works to repair its economy, considerations increase over dozens of infection groups emerging from advertising areas that lack ventilation or areas for social estrangement, and are lax with fitness protocols.
The capital has a higher total number of infections nationwide above 100,000, registering 467 new cases shown.
Data from the Jakarta Health Agency compiled through the running organization COVID-19 shows that, as of July 26, there were 68 separate office teams in the capital.
The executing organization was still verifying and updating knowledge of the number of cases shown, but concluded that there had indeed been an accumulation in the office’s transmissions compared to when the city had not yet entered the transition of large-scale social constraints (PSBB) in June 4.
The buildings concerned diversity from ministries to public institutions, municipal government agencies, public enterprises and personal companies, among others, according to the data.
Most were located in central and southern Jakarta, the government was reluctant to check a detailed breakdown of the sites.
In a letter dated July 26, The Secretary General of Eximbank of Indonesia, Agus Windiarto, showed that the company completed its workplaces for 14 days along with other tenants in the District 8 work complex in southern Jakarta “to prevent further contamination of the virus.”
The announcement was made after the discovery that a Prosperity Tower worker at the resort had tested positive for COVID-19.
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said in a video briefing on Friday that offices and regular spaces were the “most subject” to the COVID-19 transmission in a context of mobility and expanding activity.
The day before, Widyastuti, director of the Jakarta Health Agency, told reporters that staff may be inflamed either in the internal and external offices, adding lunch breaks with colleagues without observing a smart social distance, but also adventure or at home.
Office staff living in Jakarta’s satellite cities use the affordable commuter rail line, which accommodated 111,626 passengers on Monday morning. The railway has been the source of recent infection groups despite efforts by the authorities to maintain the average capacity rule.
Andri Yansyah, director of Jakarta’s Office of Labor and Transmigration, said offices with displayed instances had to close for 3 days to be sterilized and that others were lit and did not project paintings for 14 days. He said corporations do not fire affected staff and continue to pay their wages.
Lately, the company is guilty of monitoring compliance with the business needs of government regulation No. 51/2020 on the transition of the PSBB.
The provision requires companies, among other things, up to a maximum capacity of 50 per cent staff in a given and consistent period, to apply a social distance rule of at least 1 meter, as well as smart hygiene and mask clothing those who violate protocols are reprimanded or fined 25 million rupees.
The municipal government is asking workers to denounce their corporations for violations of fitness protocols.
Infection groups among workers have also made the impression in other regions, such as government offices in East Kalimantan and media corporations in Surabaya, East Java, kompas.com reported.
Achmad Yurianto, Director General of Disease Control and Prevention at the Ministry of Health and a former COVID-19 affairs spokesman, recently highlighted the trend at one of his press conferences, which ended on July 21 following the formation of COVID-19. Recovery Committee through President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
Studies have warned that breathing droplets in poorly ventilated spaces would possibly contribute to the spread of the virus, while staggered ventilation would dilute it and potentially infectious aerosols; transmission can also be caused simply by droplets circulating in air-conditioned ventilation.
An epidemiologist at Airlangga University, Laura Navika Yamani, said she expected an increase in the number of groups, as many regions had not yet met the reopening requirements. He suggested that, if possible, home-employment policies should be maintained.
Laura asked the government and companies to ask workers to return to their offices if their workplaces allowed the implementation of fitness protocols such as social estrangement and intelligent air circulation. It also called for stricter enforcement of protocol violations.
“Employees need to put protocols into effect, but what if the control or its bosses do not provide the required facilities?” she said. “Office groups will not only be businesses, but also families and communities of workers.”
Companies that still ask their workplace painters for paintings also begin filtering and rating them according to their age, comosmity points and transit use, Laura added. Anyone who fails to achieve the required scores will have to paint from home to mitigate the risks.
“We’re in a pandemic. Companies expect staff to provide the same productivity point they had before the pandemic,” he said.
A worker at a Jakarta state-owned company, who refused to be identified, said her poorly ventilated area did not meet the 50% capacity requirement: she had to share a room of 12 to 8 meters with about 10 others.
“Let’s paint from home back because we’re worried. But our call no longer has a forged basis,” he said.
“There used to be a government regulation that supported the policy of paintings in the home, but now it all depends on the patterns.”
She said the workplace had treated the stage well by having staff tested, but now that she reopened, she said the small portions would not be sufficiently ventilated.
“My has not been transparent about the number of other people infected,” he said.
