DALLAS – Dallas corporations are coming to offer more COVID-19 testing to the public.
The new pop-up sites in downtown Dallas are designed for more people to test and get back to work.
In addition to Dallas County verification sites, two new pop-up sites have recently opened downtown and are open to everyone, whether they are citizens of Dallas or not. All this in order to facilitate screening.
On a typical business day, the Young and St. Paul parking lot in Dallas would be filled with downtown workers. But it hasn’t been like this for months, while many still run remotely.
Larry Hamilton of Hamilton Properties, owner of the camp, has partnered with other Dallas corporations to offer loose COVID-19 testing and bring more people back to work.
“We couldn’t be more interested in Dallas going back to work,” Hamilton said. “So all of that is useful, because we need to be a component of the solution.”
This includes Sweet Beat Vodka.

“We have a lot of friends who paint in the service sector and have been without paints for a long, long time,” said Henry Masters, owner of Sweet Beat Vodka. “So we were given in combination with our spouse with other companies, like Larry’s, to help Dallas get back to the paintings safely. Security is the key. Not just to get back to the frames, but to get back to the frames safely.”
Provides fast conduction and input control results as well as antibody controls for COVID-19. It is open to everyone, no matter where they live and can perform up to 1,000 checks a day.
For now, the loose check is reserved for policyholders. But with the government’s investment programs, they hope to be able to offer it to those who don’t have insurance as of next week.
“It’s very difficult to navigate and know where to take a test,” said Jason Cotton, vice president of Labora Hospitality.
Bullion Restaurant in downtown Dallas has been closed since early March. Last week, they began an effort to get more people tested through driving tests for policyholders and uninsured twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The direct charge is $75 and the effects within 48 hours.
None of this replaces Dallas County verification sites, which will now verify any Dallas County resident with or without symptoms working for a company. In any case, the goal remains the same.
“I think the faster, faster everyone, whether it’s in the places to eat industry or not, whether we can do our part, either with a mask, doing a check and helping prevent spread, I think it’s smart for everyone.” Cotton says.
