A “gastronomic” kebab chain in Germany is about to open its first newcastle branch in the development of Newgate in the city centre.
German Doner Kebab was born in Berlin in 1989 and claims to have created a healthy and nutritionally balanced technique for classic skewers.
The fast-growing chain says it focuses on quality ingredients, with steaks and poultry imported from Germany, where kebabs doner are incredibly popular thanks to the country’s huge Turkish population, combined with local vegetables, which are ready with “Doner Brocheta” bread.
Last year, GDK, which now has more than 40 branches in the UK, announced plans to open five restaurants in Newcastle and in conversations with the owners.
A plan-making application for company signage has now been approved at a Newgate Street progression unit.
The place to eat would open later this year, and the company posted in the past on Facebook that it was “waiting for things to calm down” amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
He claims that lately he is hiring managers and kitchen and front desk staff.
The site on Newgate Street, which is on the ground in the wider progression of Newgate Street overlooking Newgate Street, Clayton Street and Grainger Street.
Doner Kebab of Germany says his strategies are “totally different” from those used in other kebab houses.
“The result is a nutritionally sound gastronomic delight in which there are virtually no preservatives or additives and can be fed day or night,” the company says.
Total weekly sales of 1 million pounds, with branches in cities such as Birmingham, London, Glasgow and Cardiff, as well as in Sweden, Dubai, Abu-Dhabi, Oman and Bahrain.
In addition to the original German doner, the menu includes a doner quesadilla, a durum wheat wrap, a lahmacun wrap (a type of fine, crunchy pizza) and burgers: the original and a Doner Krunch Doritos burger.
For those looking to be healthy, kebab Kcal is less than six hundred calories.
Announcing the company’s expansion into Newcastle last year, GDK CEO Imran Sayeed said: “We are excited to announce primary expansion plans for the UK as we bring GDK’s fast informal party to more consumers across the country.
