After a verbal exchange between Chancellor Gabi Ashkenazi and the Chancellor of the Dominican Republic, Roberto Alvarez, the Dominican chancellor announced that he was contemplating moving his embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Minister Ashkenazi thanked the Dominican minister for his many years of friendship between the two countries and congratulated him on this decision.
During the conversation, ministers also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, with a sales industry and economic relations, as well as recent developments in the Middle East.
“I congratulate the Chancellor of the Dominican Republic Robalsdq Alvarez, on the Dominican government’s resolve to take into consideration the transfer of his embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,” Ashkenazi wrote, “I thanked him in our phone call for this vital resolution and for the many years of friendship between our two countries. “
