ANKARA
The Dominican Republic celebrated the anniversary of its independence on Thursday with a concert in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Ankara and the Museum of Painting and Sculpture in Ankara, organized a concert in the presence of Ambassador Elvis Antonio Alam Lora, the director of the museum, Murat Yildirim, and several ambassadors.
Ahead of the concert at the Ankara Museum of Painting and Sculpture, Lora expressed his gratitude to the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and Yildirim for their contribution to the organization of the cultural project, which is a “testimony of the long-standing and long-standing relations” between Turkey and the Dominican Republic.
Lora committed the concert to all women on International Women’s Day, March 8.
Yildirim celebrated the 180th anniversary of the independence of the Dominican Republic and expressed hope that the occasion will contribute to cultural relations, cooperation and tourism between the two countries.
In the concert, world-famous opera singer Nathalie Peña-Comas, cellist Nicole Peña-Comas and pianist Hugo Llanos Campos will perform famous pieces.
