Dominican nightclub owners and workers call for a curfew and business reopening

Dominican Republic – The National Association of Nightlife Centers marched to the National Palace on Wednesday to call for the eliminate of the executive curfew imposed to involve the coronavirus.

The group’s spokesman and owner of an entertainment center in La Romana, Jeremas Peaa, said the government also deserves an economic sector and deserves to be allowed to paint as hotels.

By chanting slogans of how we need to paint, more curfew, and with a noos around their neck simulating their current economic situation, they are asked to paint by applying a protection protocol.

They also complained that their electricity costs remain very high despite the closure of their businesses.

With the closure of the mid-night recreation facilities, more than 12,000 workers were unemployed.
