Dominic Cummings, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s senior adviser on the pandemic, said he would testify at the UK’s Covid-19 inquiry later this month.

Cummings used his most recent post on Substack to reveal that he had reviewed his with the lawyers in charge of the investigation and called the procedure “painful. “

“In spite of everything, I sent it on Thursday. I vouch for it on 10/31,” he wrote.

Mr. Cummings was his closest assistant. Johnson when the pandemic hit, and the government was forced to protect him after he visited the first lockdown in Durham County.

But he resigned in December 2020 after infighting within No. 10 and has since criticised the former prime minister, suggesting he was hesitant in reacting to Covid.

In his message, he said he would do a “post-proof AMA (ask me anything)” about his statements and those of others, but had been asked not to post his own for now.
