Dominic Cummings interrupted when he left the Covid investigation on Tuesday night with a brutal sentence.
Cummings, who was Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s most sensible aide when he was in power, caused a stir when his profanity-laden evidence was revealed on Tuesday.
Cummings’ WhatsApp messages, dating back to the early days of the Covid pandemic, showed that he had called one of the government’s top officials an “imbecile” and called ministers “useless imbeciles” and “imbeciles”.
The leader’s former adviser was taken aback by the lawyer’s comments at the pace of the investigation and then appeared on the front pages of several newspapers on Wednesday morning.
But even once Cummings, who resigned from his position in November 2020, dropped out of the investigation, the drama isn’t over yet.
In a clip shared via POLITICO’s Andrew McDonald on X (formerly Twitter), an anonymous member of the crowd shouted, “This is the last time you’re relevant!Go back under your rock. “
Another clip showed him making an offensive gesture toward Cummings’ car as he sped through the crowd of photographers.

Cummings has continually apologized for the foul language he used to soften his testimony on Tuesday, but said it reflected a “widely shared view” about the government’s incompetence.
Since being ousted from Downing Street, Cummings has been an outspoken critic of both the government and his former boss.
He called for “regime change” away from the Conservative Party in the next general election, accused Johnson of mendacity in the dispute with Lebedev and encouraged further investigations into the party.
