MANILA, Philippines – The Ministry of Health (DOH) reported that 2,241 showed more cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the national number to 67456 on Sunday.
DOH also reported an additional 398 recoveries, bringing the number of patients recovering from the disease to 22,465.
Meanwhile, another 58 deaths were recorded, bringing the number of deaths in the country due to the disease to 1831.
Of the additional deaths recorded, 25 were from July and 33 were from June.
Fifty-four of them arrived here from downtown Visayas, while the Manila Metropolitan Area, the Ilocos region, the Zamboanga Peninsula and the Davao region each recorded one death.
Age diversity for these new deaths aged 35 to 94, with an average age of 63, according to the DOH.
A total of 36 deaths or 62 consistent with the penny of the recently announced deaths were 60 years or more.
Currently, the number of COVID-19 assets in the country is 43,160.
Metro Manila recorded the number of newly announced instances with 1625, followed by Laguna with 115, Cavite with 76, Rizal with 75 and Cebu with 55.
According to the DOH, 90.1% of existing active instances are mild instances, while 9.1% are asymptomatic and 0.4% each are severe and critical instances.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,058,764 COVID-19 tests were performed at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 18, with a total of 67 chain reaction tests through authorized opposite transcription polymerase and 22 authorized GeneXpert laboratories nationwide.
