MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday recorded 2074 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the number of active instances to 20,678.
However, the new instances were higher than the number of infections recorded on Tuesday, which was 1,841, but was still below the average of the daily instances recorded from July 11 to 17 at 2,091.
For its part, Quezon City tops the list of spaces with the maximum number of instances reported in the last two weeks with 2,121, followed by Cavite with 2,067 and Laguna with 1,431.
The tracker also showed that another 23,573 people signed up for COVID-19 testing on Tuesday, July 19. The effects of that will be reflected in Thursday’s tally.
