MANILA, Philippines – There are now a total of one hundred control labs approved for coronavirus disease 2019 in the country, the Ministry of Fitness said Friday.
The country is now at the forefront of COVID-19’s testing capability in the Southeast Asian region, the DOH said, with a total of 1667831 tests conducted in 1557105 people.
“Licensing for the country’s 100th lab is a component of the government’s ongoing efforts to develop the country’s ability to trip and manage COVID-19 patients in a pleasant way to prevent the spread of the virus,” the Department of Health said.
The Ministry of Health added that 87 laboratories remain in the process of authorizing, which could be completed in the coming months.
