DOH: 2d COVID reminder soon open to public

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) announced Wednesday that the COVID-19 booster shot will soon be available to the general public.

DOH tariff official Maria Rosario Vergeire said that physical care will be made available to the general population or adults once implementations are issued for its management.

(Based on the Food and Drug Administration’s updated emergency use authorization and the Health Technology Assessment Council’s positive recommendation, we can already use the vaccines we have now as a momentary booster for the general population or our healthy adults. )

Only healthcare workers, the elderly, and others with comorbidities over the age of 18 are eligible for the momentum of the moment.

“Inaantay lang po natin na malabas natin ang implementing rules and maguumpisa na ho tayong magbakuna for our moment for our general population,” Vergeire added.

(We’re just waiting for the implementation rules to come out and we’re going to start injecting the reinforcement of the moment for our general population. )

It also found that 11% of unvaccinated inflamed people admitted to hospitals died.

“Gayon din tumataas is concerned about Hindi bakunadong nagkakaroon ng malala and Hindi kritikal na kaso, kaya muling hinihikayat namin ang mga hindi bakunado na magpabakuna na para maiwasan ito,” Vergeire said.

(Similarly, the number of other unvaccinated people with severe, non-critical symptoms is increasing, so we encourage other unvaccinated people to have already been vaccinated against this. )

As of March 16, a total of 78. 4 million Filipinos have already been vaccinated against COVID-19. This count includes 7. 2 million seniors, 10. 2 million adolescents and 5. 6 million children.

More than 23. 8 million Filipinos earned their first memory, while 4. 4 million earned their moment of remembrance.
