MANILA, Philippines – The Ministry of Health (DOH) recorded new cures of coronavirus disease on Sunday 23074 (COVID-19), raising the number of patients recovering to 184687.
Of the total number of infections, 48,803 are active cases.
The DOH reported 85 deaths, which raised the death toll from COVID-19 to 3875.
The Department of Health also noted the discovery of 44 duplicates, of which 28 recovered cases were eliminated from the total number of cases.
There were also 27 cases that in the past had been reported as cured, but were known as 26 deaths and one active case after the final validation.
The increase in the number of COVID-19 recoveries is due to THE DOH’s “Oplan Recovery”, where it marks a patient as recovered after completing 14 days of isolation from the time it began to show coVID-19 symptoms or its samples are collected for analysis.
