The Solidarity Fund was established in March 2020 as an immediate reaction vehicle to build the South African government’s reaction to COVID-19. Focuses on cutting down coronavirus transmission, adding through communications that lead to a change in behavior; fitness intervention, adding the obtaining of a non-public protective apparatus (PPE) for frontline fitness workers; and the humanitarian reaction, adding food aid to others who have lost their livelihoods.
Direct Relief acts as the monetary officer of the Solidarity Fund in the United States, simplifying U.S. citizens and businesses from making donations to the Fund. one hundred percent of all donations made in https://www.directrelief.org/SolidarityFund will be donated to the Solidarity Fund.
