DIMDEX 2024: Qatar Special Forces Training Center Opens New Site

Qatar’s Project four01 Special Operations Training Center unveiled its moment at DIMDEX 202four held in Doha from March 4 to 6.

The new one adds to an existing shooting diversity and a 300m simulator in the south-west corner of Camp Al-Sayliyah, west of Doha. The other 401 assignment site is a committed naval special forces education center that was built on the east coast of Zekreet Bay on Qatar’s west coast as part of a contract awarded to Turkey’s Modern Defense Solutions (MDS) in March 2018. Although MDS refers to it as Buroq’s Special Maritime Operations Training Center, the Project 401 brochure calls it Brouq.

Qatar’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) released a video in October 2022 showing that the completed facility includes a dispatch style for anti-kidnapping training, a turret with a simulated NH90 helicopter fuselage for rappelling on one side, and a deep pool on the other. . , an underwater helicopter escape simulator, an impediment circuit and a boat dock.

The Project 401 brochure revealed that it also has an explosives simulator where you can take courses on tripping and improvised explosive device disposal. This includes courses in handling dogs to trip over explosives.
