DILG-Region 3 warns of fraudulent call payment for COVID-19 testing

MANILA, Philippines – The Luzon Central Office of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) warned the public about alleged fraudsters they would seek before taking the COVID-19 test.

I tell them that recently there have been scammers calling and saying “Based on our contact search, youArray..

In a statement issued Tuesday, DILG Central Luzon’s workplace stated that alleged fraudulent calls would first tell their victim, “According to our tactile search, you’ve been close to who tested positive for COVID-19.”

Fraudsters will tell the victim that they will have to isolate themselves and go through a COVID-19 check within 72 hours.

But before the victim can go through a “check,” the person calling fraudulently will ask for the number of the previous card, saying that the check kits and effects would charge $50.

“If you refuse to give them your credit card/credit card details, they threaten to say there are consequences for the breach,” DILG Luzon’s headquarters said of the scam.

“Then be careful. And if you know other vulnerable people who would fall for this scam… let them know,” the firm added.

DILG is the leading company in tactile efforts to involve coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
