Qatar will actively explore investment opportunities in Bangladesh, says Labour Minister Ali bin Saeed

On Sunday, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen highlighted the industry and investment opportunities in Bangladesh and called for Qatar’s investment in Bangladesh, especially in the economic zones.

The issues were discussed when Qatar’s Minister of Labour, Ali bin Saeed bin Al Samikh Al Marri, met with Momen at the padma state guesthouse.

The Qatari Labor Minister has told Bangladeshi Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen that his country will actively explore investment in Bangladesh.

The foreign minister praised Qatar in its mediation in Afghanistan, Palestine, Chad and Sudan.

He also sought political and economic help from the Qatari government to deal with the Rohingya unrest.

Qatar’s Minister of Labour valued Bangladesh’s stable progression despite the COVID pandemic.

Momen briefed him on the projects taken by the Government of Bangladesh led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to move forward to meet the developing demand at home and abroad.

He cooperates with the Government of Qatar in supplying LNG to Bangladesh.

The Minister of Labour of Qatar expressed his satisfaction with the Bangladeshis living in Qatar.

He appreciated the role of Bangladeshi expats in the progression of Qatar’s economy as Bangladesh.

He spoke that Qatar would like to hire Bangladeshi professionals and semi-professionals in the fields of medicine, hospitality, driving and IT in the coming days.
