Despite their own failures, governments. Cuomo and Whitmer to investigate Trump’s reaction to COVID

They can’t be serious. Governors Andrew Cuomo and Gretchen Whitmer, perhaps the country’s two most criticized governors for the coronavirus pandemic, are calling for “congressional oversight of the Trump administration’s politicization of government purposes that have hampered the country’s reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic. “

“It is an undeniable fact that the United States has had the worst reaction to the COVID-19 virus in any country in the world,” Cuomo and Whitmer write. “Nearly 7 million Americans were tested for the virus and more than 200,000 Americans were killed – more than any other country. The unacceptable and unprecedented scale of this tragedy is the direct result of the deception of President Trump and the federal government.

And this couple of governors knows incompetence well, today it has been six months since Governor Cuomo imposed a mandate to force nursing services to settle for COVID patients and denies that this has much to do with the more than 6,000 people who died of COVID in nursing homes, yet many others disagree.

Fox News senior meteorologist Janice Dean met this year in the awkward position of having to directly challenge New York’s leadership. It’s not political. More than once, however, she has been forced to testify about how Governor Cuomo’s retirement home mandate likely killed her in-laws. their in-laws, who died in separate senior care facilities in New York City.

Mickey’s rest house was quarantined in mid-March and we were no longer able to make a stopover.

Shortly after the visitors were locked up, someone called to tell us that Mickey was going to be moved somewhere else so that the place he was transferred to could be destined for new patients.

As far as I know now, I think some of those new patients were recovering from COVID, thanks to a state mandate from Governor Andrew Cuomo.

On March 29, Sean won an expired morning call and told his father he wasn’t well. It’s the first time we’ve heard he was sick. He had a fever and had trouble breathing. Three hours later, a doctor called to tell us that his father had died.

The doctor said this is probably due to coronavirus and we didn’t get confirmation until we saw it on his death certificate.

Dean’s mother-in-law contracted COVID at her assisted residential facility, but because she died in the hospital, her death was not among the COVID deaths at the state retirement home. New York is the only state that does not have a death in a COVID Rest House if the patient died in the hospital, meaning that the actual number of deaths in a rest house would possibly be much higher than expected by the state.

Dean joins many other New Yorkers calling for a full bipartisan external investigation with a subpoena force to read about how Cuomo’s policy could possibly have led to these deaths.

“Our governor, Mr. Cuomo, has repeatedly rejected calls for an independent investigation by saying that doing so would be political,” Dean said. “If you have nothing to hide, why wouldn’t you settle for all the investigations into the tragedy of the nursing home?

You can see his heartbreaking testimony here.

Governor Whitmer oversaw her own horror story in Michigan, where nursing homes were more than necessary.

“Long-term care services are leading the state in new and ongoing outbreaks. Over a seven-week period between 2 July and 20 August, there were 134 outbreaks in these services, representing 23% of all outbreaks in the state. Michigan’s most sensible physician, Joneigh Khaldun, has said long-term care services are one of the “most common environments” for new outbreaks.

Before requiring research into the decision-making of other COVID leaders, it is time for Cuomo and Whitmer to settle for surveys on their own intended leadership.
