Four weeks after Orange County officials opened their largest coronavirus testing site in Anaheim, it is not yet imaginable to log in to Spanish or languages other than English.

Anaheim Convention Center Driving Control is a central component of a new county government program to facilitate the detection of others in the hardest-hit communities in the county, West Anaheim and Santa Ana. Both peoples are home to many Latino immigrant families for whom English is not their first language.
The county’s most sensible fitness officer on Tuesday cited the lack of translation as an impediment that can help not all check spaces on the Anaheim site be reserved.
“I suppose there are various obstacles in our [Anaheim] site. So I had a verbal exchange with our control team this morning. Our registration procedure is only in English and we are also looking to translate the record into other languages,” dr. Clayton Chau told county supervisors on Tuesday a public update on the coronavirus pandemic.
No supervisor asked follow-up questions or expressed interest in the registration page being in Spanish or languages other than English.
After Chau noticed the lack of translation, supervisor Don Wagner gave the impression of publicly criticizing the county by encouraging others with coronavirus symptoms to get tested, saying it most likely results in a higher rate of other people who tested positive, which can be maintained. As of Tuesday afternoon, a few hours after the supervisory meeting, the registration form was still available only in English. The Anaheim check site first opened on July 15 and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and checks can only be obtained with advance appointments through the registration page.
Anaheim and neighboring Santa Ana continue to be the most affected by coronavirus according to human capital among all Orange County cities, while the virus affects working-class Latino neighborhoods. At the same press convention last June, supervisor Andrew Do announced that the county had just signed a contract that day to transfer expired coronavirus data to the most common languages other than English in Orange County.
The county translation contract came three months after local activists, doctors, and network leaders publicly reported critical data gaps and awareness of the new coronavirus to immigrant families in Orange County and businesses where English is the first language.
“All of our data will be available in several of Orange County’s five most sensitive languages, and Spanish is obviously one of them. And that contract was signed today,” C said at the June 30 press conference.
However, more than a month later, the check page on the county’s Anaheim check is not yet in Spanish, as neither Do nor any other manager raised questions at their meeting on Tuesday.
