CHICAGO (CBS) – DePaul University has shown that a student on the Lincoln Park campus has been tested for coronavirus.
School officials said the student was last at Centennial Hall on Wednesday. The construction of this student apartment is being cleaned and disinfected very well.
An email sent to all teachers, staff and academics informing them of this positive case.
The email read in part: “We are writing to tell you that a student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student was the last at Centennial Hall on August 5, 2020. To ensure the fitness and protection of our community, following the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the proper spaces in Centennial Hall will be cleaned and disinfected very well.”
The school added that “people known to have been in close contact with this user have been informed through a separate communication. As a reminder, extended close contact is explained as being within 6 feet of an inflamed user for 15 minutes or more. Those who have had brief and occasional contact with an inflamed user are not considered high risk. As always, everyone monitors their fitness and stays at home if they have symptoms. Anyone who develops severe symptoms seek medical attention right away. “.
Anyone who has questions or wants more information about campus COVID-19 policies should return to campus on their online page at go.depaul.edu/go back and [email protected].
