Former President Donald Trump on Thursday criticized Vice President Harris’ handling of the crisis at the southern border, hours before his speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

“BIG NUMBERS AND TRAVEL. IT’S NOT FAIR! VOTE FOR TRUMP AND STOP THE MADNESS!!THE UNIONS ARE NEXT!!”

In a 1988 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the prominent television host raised eyebrows about Americans’ “fascination” with Donald Trump and even described him as a “folk hero” due to his popularity.

“A number of celebrities in New York, because it was the inaugural concert in New York, and there were all kinds of celebrities, very, very prominent people, who came to sit down. When you were seated, you earned the loudest applause.

People stood up and roared and cheered when you walked in,” Winfrey said in the interview. “Why? What is this fascination?” “I don’t know, maybe I deserve to be a rock star,” Trump responded.

Harris will speak later that night to officially decide the party’s nomination for the presidential race.

Some Kansas City Chiefs enthusiasts are convinced that they will only be able to watch one of the team’s 3 preseason games, as the last one before the normal season on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears would possibly not be televised in Kansas City due to the Democratic National Congress.

NFL Network is also streaming the game, but due to ban restrictions, Kansas City enthusiasts won’t be able to stream the game there.

“For the first time this preseason, Channel 41 is moving its Chiefs game policy to Channel 38,” one Reddit user wrote to the Kansas City Star. “YouTube TV doesn’t carry channel 38, so I won’t have access to watch this game. Why is channel 41 paying for the rights to broadcast those games when they are not available to many in their market? Do the Chiefs care about the workplace?

“Incredible, surely extraordinary,” he said when asked via Fox News Digital’s Julia Johnson, saying there’s “something special” about it.

“This position has been electric since Monday,” he said.

Of vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, he said, “I’m glad the Democrats bought the share of football coaches who gave themselves to politics. “

This appears to be an attack on Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Alabama, a former football coach.

At the Democratic National Committee, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro claimed that former President Donald Trump focused on suppressing freedoms and proclaimed Democrats as the “party of true freedom. “

“What you are proposing is not freedom at all,” he continued. “It is not freedom to say that the vote can be approved and yet he chooses the winner. That is not freedom. “

“You know what, Democrats? We are the defenders of true freedom. We value our freedom, we cherish our democracy, and we love this country,” Shapiro said.

Former President Trump continually claimed Kamala Harris was ultra-liberal and insulted the vice president by calling her “Comrade Kamala” in the month since President Biden replaced the 2024 Democratic ticket leader.

“This ship does not float. It just doesn’t float,” Sen. Cory Booker, D-N. J. , told Fox News Digital on Thursday, hours before the vice president’s inauguration acceptance speech on the final night of the Democratic National Congress. Convention held in Chicago.

Booker, one of Harris’ most sensible allies in the Senate, pointed to the bill he co-authored with the vice president and which they controlled to get it passed by Congress and signed into law.

Read about Paul Steinhauser about Trump’s nickname for Vice President Harris.

“Donald Trump has been a style of coherence. He continues to divide, he continues to blame, he continues to degrade others. It creates chaos and then handles it as if it were a valuable art,” Clinton said at the Democratic National Committee. “He usually talks about himself. So the next time you hear it, don’t tell the lies, tell the ‘I’s,'” he continued.

“He’s like one of those tenors, opening up before he levels up like I did, looking to open his lungs by doing a song ‘me, me, me, me, me’. “

Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have in the past expressed support for the Democratic nominee.

“We are honored to support the president in helping Vice President Harris and will do everything we can to help her,” they said at a sign-up fort in July.

Vice President Harris’ economic timeline includes a recently announced initiative to establish controls against alleged “price inflation” through food and grocery corporations and prevent them from making “excessive profits. ” would be explained and applied.

Harris’ campaign released a document Friday saying that, if elected, her leadership would work with Congress to “advance the first federal ban on price gouging on food and grocery products; identify transparent conduct regulations so that it is clear that giant companies can » Not unfairly exploit consumers for excessive profits from food and groceries.

However, Harris’s crusade plan does not come with a definition of how “price increases” would be explained or what would constitute “excessive profits” in the eyes of regulators. Nor does it describe how corporations accused of wrongdoing may be the cause of the problem.

FOX Business reached out to Harris’ campaign for more details on how her proposal would be implemented and got a response before the deadline.

Protesters outside the Democratic National Convention spoke to Fox News about their perspectives on the 2024 candidates, with some saying they had no plans to vote for either.

“I probably wouldn’t vote for either party because they make up the ruling class — Democratic or Republican,” another Democratic National Committee protester said. The same protester added that many of those who demonstrated against Israel outside the conference “don’t really agree with their ‘good vibes’ strategies. “In reality, this is not how you fix a broken economic system. »

Others said they didn’t yet know who they planned to vote for in November, but that a short-term ceasefire could replace it.

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif. , dodged a question Wednesday at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Fox News Digital about whether she would impose restrictions on late-term abortions, as abortion remains a key factor in the party’s platform.

“Member of Congress, could you impose restrictions on late-term abortions?” asked Fox News Digital of Waters, who has managed Vice President Kamala Harris since the Democratic National Committee’s first day. In the video, Waters can be seen walking away and ignoring the question.

Late-term abortions, which typically occur during the third trimester, are a factor eluded by Democratic lawmakers. Planned Parenthood’s mobile clinic, parked just blocks from Chicago’s United Center, where the Democratic National Committee is taking a stand, underscored Democrats’ message about widespread abortion accessibility.

MN Gov. Tim Walz gestures at a rally in Wisconsin.

Former President Donald Trump’s crusade introduced a veiled attack on his running mate, Sen. J. D. Vance, R-Ohio, made through Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz at the Democratic National Convention.

“I grew up in Butte, Nebraska, a city of 400 people. I had 24 kids in my fancy high school and none of them went to Yale,” Walz said, drawing laughter from the audience. “But I’ll tell you what.

Growing up in a small town like that, you’re informed that you need to take care of others. This local family may not think like you. They probably wouldn’t pray like you. Possibly they wouldn’t love like you. But they are your neighbors. And you take care of them and they take care of you. »

Trump’s account, War Room X, published an excerpt from Walz about Yale, where Vance attended law school.

“Walz: ‘I had 24 in the top class at my school and none of them went to Yale,'” Trump War Room noted, adding, “That’s weird!”

Chicago police recorded nine shootings involving 10 victims, adding one who died Wednesday as a result of a stabbing on the third day of the city’s Democratic National Convention.

Violence occurs when police have managed to create chaos in and around the conference venue.   This compares to five shootings involving 12 victims, one fatal on Tuesday and eight shootings, four of them fatal, on Monday.

“Our officials are on site. They are in the place. They are very visible. And we have officials not only in the halls of downtown, in and around the Democratic National Convention venues, but also in our neighborhoods to continue to organize our other people who live in the most vulnerable areas,” Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling said Monday at a news convention. “Our officials throughout the city. “

A Jewish player at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) said she was “upset” by President Biden’s comments on Monday.

Biden said anti-Israel protesters outside the conference center “were right” in his speech on the first night of the Democratic event.

“I think with all this hatred, it’s useless. This is not acceptable. In terms of what Biden said, it bothered me a little bit,” the woman told Fox News Digital at the DNC.

The aide also referred to Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, one of the Jewish candidates who had been chosen as Harris’ potential vice presidential nominee before Harris chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

“Being a Jewish woman, I expected a Jewish man to fill this position,” she said. “I’m pleased that there is progress in terms of having a woman as the next president of the United States. “

“I had no idea this was going to happen like this,” Maddow said Wednesday afternoon after Walz officially accepted his party’s nomination as vice president. “In this room, as far as our small crowd on the MSNBC mothership is concerned, everyone was given a chance to get up from their seats and start stomping and clapping. “

After Walz finished her speech, Maddow said the moment was electrifying for her and the other MSNBC hosts in the room.

“I’m probably six feet away from the football team on that side of the stage,” MSNBC reporter Jacob Soboroff said when Maddow asked him about the energy in the Democratic National Committee hall.

“The strength of the smiles on their faces was just screaming, ‘I can’t, I have status at this level right now, in front of. . . the United States of America,'” he said. It was actually an amazing thing to experience. ”

Former President Trump will be reacting to Vice President Harris’ speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Truth Social.

“I will be doing a LIVE REPLAY on TRUTH Social of Comrade Kamala Harris’ speech tonight at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. We’ll start at 10 p. m. ET and we’ll cover and comment on some of the speeches in the given past, before yours,” Trump said Thursday in a message ahead of the fourth and final day of the convention.

“She has become a candidate without receiving a single vote, stealing the nomination from the twisted Joe Biden, who won it by obtaining 14 million votes. I’m not a fan of Biden, who has been the worst president in United States history and is similarly considered the worst vice president (and border “czar”) in United States history, but Biden has been “trapped. “We will expose all of his radicalism, the horrific paintings he made on the border, crime and foreign affairs and his militarization in front of his political opponent, corrupt prosecutors and courts in New York, Washington, D. C. and Atlanta,” the former president said. I hope everyone sticks to the TRUTH tonight!”

Harris will deliver her Democratic National Committee nomination speech from the United Center in Chicago on Thursday.

Gov. J. B. Pritzker, D-Ill. , says the 2024 presidential race is “the most important election of our lifetime. “

“We want to make sure that other people understand that this election is the most important election of our lives, and I mean that literally. The group on the other side needs to put an end to democracy,” Pritzker told Fox about the conflict between Trump and Vance. campaign.

Pritzker, referring to former President Trump, added that he doesn’t believe the electorate needs “an economy built just for their billionaire friends like Elon Musk. “

“People need an economy that helps them become middle class, successful, start a small business or be smart for their families. That’s what Democrats are fighting for,” he said. declared.

San Francisco Third Baptist Church Pastor Amos Brown will pray at the Democratic National Convention.

As the Washington Post reported, before their current fame as reverend and Vice President Kamala Harris, the two Bay Area figures were aspiring politicians in the 1990s.

Both were aligned with Mayor Willie Brown, who advised Harris to support Amos Brown’s city manager campaign, the newspaper reported. Three decades later, Amos Brown is in a position to deliver the invocation that precedes Harris’s acceptance of the Democratic nomination.

Brown, who has said he has known Harris and her family for more than two decades and was one of Harris’ visitors to attend her inauguration in 2021, may be primarily responsible for her campaign as his sermons beyond and anti-American rhetoric begin to surface. Harris had praised Brown in the afterlife for being “on this adventure with me every step of the way. “

“The United States, the United States, what have they done — deliberately or — in the global order, in Central America, in Africa, where the bombs keep exploding?” Brown said a few days after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the Free Beacon reported.

Fox News Digital spoke with Nas, the owner of Z-Best restaurant in Chicago, who criticized Harris’ prosecution case.

“I’m not going to lie to you, I know her past, what she’s done, I know she’s locked up a lot of other people just for marijuana and stuff, sending other people away, so I don’t do it. I don’t care if she’s fair to you. ” .

Sen. Cory Booker, D-N. J. , defended Vice President Donald Trump’s “Comrade Harris” label.

“This ship is floating,” Booker told Fox News Digital at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago.

Booker said the Senate recently worked on a bipartisan immigration bill.

“The explanation for why this bill didn’t pass in the Senate is because Donald Trump said not to,” the Democrat said. “So he’s the barrier to pragmatic challenge-solving, Kamala Harris is the antidote. “

His two sons, Gus, 17, and Hope, 23, went viral on the third day of the conference for their emotional reaction to their father’s speech after he officially accepted Kamala Harris’ nomination for vice president.

Hope can be seen waving her hands after Walz referred to her family as “the whole world. ” Meanwhile, Gus stood up and continually uttered the words, “That’s my dad!” The reaction immediately went viral, especially after other people started finding out that he had ADHD, a non-verbal learning disability, and a anxiety disorder.

In 2019, Walz turned to his daughter, Hope, to help spread the word about the law he sought to pass as governor of Minnesota that would ban cell phone use while driving. The two men starred in a public service announcement-style comedy video, joking and bantering while promoting the new law. Meanwhile, Walz credited his son on Instagram that same year for helping the family save their dog Scout, a 3-month-old black Labrador.

Former President Trump sharply criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’ plans in an interview with “Fox & Friends” on Thursday.

“Price controls have been used many, many times over the years, regularly through dictators and others, but they have been used many times. It never, ever worked,” Trump said. They have led to massive inflation and a lack of. . . You get nothing and end up with empty stores. It’s a disaster. In another 38 cases, 38 cases were general failures. “

Trump also refuted Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s claims that he would back a nationwide abortion ban. Instead, he argued that he is pro-life but content to allow states to impose their own abortion policies.

“No, at the moment, it is in the hands of the people. The citizens of each state vote. I have done anything that will one day unite our country, but because they lie so much at this convention, they are making it seem like I need, I need a federal ban. That probably wouldn’t happen. “

“We all know the old tricks and tropes designed to distract us from what matters,” Winfrey told the crowd at the United Center. “But we’re beyond the ridiculous tweets, the lies, and the nonsense. These are confusing times, people, and they call for a verbal exchange between adults. And I welcome those verbal exchanges because civil debate is important to democracy and is America’s best. “

In another veiled attack on Trump, Winfrey said: “Now there’s a safe candidate who says if we go to the polls this time, we’ll go through so we never have to do it again. Well, you know what? You’re me. ” I’m looking for a registered independent who is proud to vote again and again because I’m an American. And that’s what Americans do best.

Walz referenced the inflation factor in his April 2023 State of the State report to the Minnesota House of Representatives, where he also unveiled his universal flexible school feeding plan.

“On top of that, our plan invests billions more in our education system, adding a more than 10% increase in the overall education investment formula over the next four years to the heroic works of our wonderful teachers. And it includes enough cash to supply universal school meals so that no child in Minnesota has to be informed on an empty stomach.

Vice President Kamala Harris has in the past supported abandoning Trump-era border policies, but she appears to be taking a tougher stance on the crisis at the southern border as her presidential crusade continues.

The Democratic nominee recently released a crusade ad titled “Tougher,” in which she discusses her current position on the issue.

“Kamala Harris has spent decades fighting violent crime. As a border state prosecutor, he took on drug cartels and jailed gang members for smuggling guns and drugs across the border,” a narrator said in the new ad. “As vice president, she supported the strictest border bill in decades. And as president, she will hire thousands more border officials and crack down on fentanyl and human trafficking.

“Fixing the border is hard, and Kamala Harris is hard,” he says.

A CNN fact checker on Thursday criticized Democrats for spreading incorrect information about former President Trump and the Heritage Foundation’s “2025 Project. “

CNN referenced Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, D-Delaware, speaking at the Democratic National Committee in Chicago on Wednesday night.

“[Trump], with his friends, said out loud the quieter parts, but not only did he say them out loud, he wrote an e-book about it. What’s your name? Project 2025,” Blunt said.

Democrats have been trying for weeks to use the impeachment document to attack the former president, arguing that the policies are radical.

Trump himself referenced the draft in an interview Thursday on Fox News, saying he was unfamiliar with the document and had not read it.

Former President Trump responded to rumors that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was contemplating dropping out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsed him Thursday.

Trump made the comments in a Thursday morning interview with Fox and Friends.

“I’ve known him for a long time. As you know, he’s a little bit of a different guy. A very smart guy, a very intelligent person. If he supported me, I would feel honored. I would feel very honored. In fact, he has his center in the right place. He is a person of good reputation. “Women like some of his policies and I guess other people don’t like some of his policies,” Trump said. “But overall. . . They treated him very badly. I think he would have, you know, he’s saying he would have beaten Biden in the primary. “

The announcement came shortly after Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, said he had proposed three debates with three television networks and had agreed to certain dates in September.

Trump joins the debate on ABC days after posting on his social network that he would appear on the network, bringing up a lawsuit he filed, the Associated Press reported.

Its resolution is a long-awaited moment in an election in which President Biden’s first debate against Trump led Biden to exit the race and endorse his running mate, Harris, to top the ticket.

Speakers celebrated Biden’s presidency, but also praised Vice President Kamala Harris.   Biden’s speech ended with a delay of several hours. It was originally scheduled for prime time, but became increasingly delayed as speakers took up more and more time. His speech did not end until after midnight.

Many critics have criticized event organizers for forcing the president to wait, with some observers saying it’s just further evidence that Democrats rejected Biden in favor of Harris.

Meanwhile, anti-Israel protesters invaded the Chicago site, some of them breaking through police barriers. The widespread protests dented Democrats’ hopes of presenting Harris as a united front at the convention.

Chicago, thanks to its geographic centrality, is the most popular city in terms of primary political conventions.

Between 1860 and 1996, Chicago hosted 14 national Republican nominating conventions and Democratic Party conventions.

Illinois Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker, along with the state’s congressional delegation and Chicago city officials were instrumental in organizing the convention. And one of its promotional themes was the sheer number of hotel rooms in Chicago, meaning that the thousands of delegates, officials and journalists who cover the convention may simply remain within city limits.

This is far from the case with many political conventions. Last month, some delegates and reporters were staying in hotels away from downtown Milwaukee for the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Committee in Chicago on Wednesday night, criticizing former Vice President Trump and Sen. J. D. Vance.

Meanwhile, Walz’s progressive record as governor was seized upon by Republicans after he became Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, and he had a much more moderate reputation when he entered Congress in 2007.

Walz had ousted Minnesota’s red-leaning first congressional district and ousted a sitting Republican president to win the seat.

In his early years he earned an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association, a rating that was later an “F,” and Walz broke with his party’s top to oppose a $700 billion bank bailout in 2008, according to NPR.

Walz’s political activism flared shortly before when he took a group of his students to a rally for George W. Bush’s re-election, where one of his students was questioned through security for having a sticker advertising Kerry on his wallet. , according to MinnPost.
