Delhi’s New Covid to have ‘on-demand testing’, border tests

New Delhi has noticed an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in recent days and the government said the spread of the infection can only be contained by launching competitive tests and contact search methods in the city.

At an assembly of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on Wednesday, the Deputy Governor called on officials to expand modalities and prepare detailed operational procedures for introducing large-scale testing facilities.

The meeting, also attended by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, took the decision to strengthen detection, tracing and remedy methods in rural Delhi.

For the installation of “on-demand verification”, a hotline number will soon be released, where a person, who believes they have symptoms of COVID-19, can book an electronic check and can take advantage of the installation at their door, reported the Press trust of India news agency.

“First, older people, women, and young people will gain benefits from on-demand testing. Another option is that other people can also book electronic evidence at nearby centers by calling the hotline number,” a source told the Pti news agency.

“If a user prefers to take a COVID-19 check at a nearby center, they will be given a special schedule so they don’t have to queue long,” the source told the Press Trust of India.

Mr. Baijal also ordered the relevant officials to establish testing services on Delhi’s border problems and for the detection of others with COVID-19 symptoms.

“It will be mandatory for all migrant personnel coming to Delhi to be tested. However, other people living in the NCR but paintings in Delhi can also be tested if they feel it,” the source told PTI.

Testing centres are also set up in major ISTSTs, where migrant staff must go through the tests.

“In border point control services, not everyone will want to take control COVID-19. If someone entering Delhi feels they have symptoms similar to COVID-19, they can move to checkpoints at border points. It may not be mandatory for everyone, take the check, ” added the source.

The vice governor also ordered officials to install COVID-19 services at the main structure sites, adding subway allocation sites for workers.

Later, in a tweet, Baijal said, “Given the evolution of the scenario, it is vital to urgently review and strengthen existing testing, tracking and repair methods with a focus on hot spots, containment spaces and rural spaces. “

Last month, Arvind Kejriwal announced that his government would increase COVID-19 testing from 20,000 to 40,000.

On Tuesday, the nation’s capital recorded 2,312 new instances of COVID-19, the one-day peak here in about two months, bringing the total to more than 1. 77 lakh, while the number of deaths increased to 4,462, according to the authorities.
