Delhi Capitals undergoes Covid-19 tests in Mumbai

New Delhi, August 22 (IANS) The Indians of Delhi’s capitals have undergone testing for Covid-19 in Mumbai before departing for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL).

The tournament will be held entirely in the UAE and will begin on 19 September.

DC has photos of Captain Shreyas Iyer and drummers Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane and Prithvi Shaw tested.

Initially scheduled for March 29, the thirteenth edition of the IPL was postponed first on 15 April before being set aside indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the end of July, BCCI will move the tournament to the United Arab Emirates.

Fighter Bajrang Punia, a gold medalist at the Asian Games earlier, said the start of the IPL will bring positivity to all sports.

“The protection of all is very important. I am of the opinion that the IPL starts in the United Arab Emirates and if some bad news of coronavirus begins and ends, then I think other sports organizers can also plan to organize the occasions (with all precautions) ) in the future,” Bajrang told IANS.
