Decrees signed to the formula of state security agencies in Belarus

MINSK, Oct 10 (BelTA) — Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed decrees on the operation of the formula of state security organs, BelTA learned.

Decree No. 356 amends a number of previous presidential decrees in accordance with the updated Law on State Security Organs of the Republic of Belarus of October 6, 2022.

Henceforth, the State security organs will report exclusively to the Head of State. The formula of State security organs has been improved. Decree No. 355 provides for the reorganization of the National Security Institute of the Republic of Belarus, a public educational institution, into a National Security Academy. The document also approves the statutes of this educational institution.

The Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Committee are tasked with taking steps to put those presidential decrees into effect until January 1, 2023.
