PARIS (Reuters) – France reported on Monday a sharp slowdown in the new daily instances of COVID-19, but the number of other people hospitalized for the disease increased to more than three hundred for the first time since April 12, when the country in the middle of a lockdown.
Of the 7294 hospitalized patients, more than 1,400 were treated in intensive care (ICU) sets, the number as of May 28.
Paris will have to be on maximum alert for COVID-19, which means that bars will be forced to close for two weeks from Tuesday, in component due to the strong accumulation in the number of other people in the ICO.
The French fitness government reported 5,084 new infections in COVID-19, well below Saturday’s record of 16,972 and 12,565 on Sunday.
Monday’s figure tends to drop as there is less evidence on Sundays.
The seven-day moving average for new infections, which eliminates report irregularities, 11,662, compared to a low of 272 on May 27, two weeks after the end of its two-month blockade.
The number of other people who died in France by COVID-19 increased from 69 to 32,299, compared to 32 on Sunday. The cumulative number of cases is 624,274.
