Cyprus calls for negative COVID for arrivals in China

NICOSIA (Reuters) – Negative COVID-19 tests will be required for others traveling by air from China to Cyprus from Jan. 15, the island’s fitness ministry said on Wednesday.

The EU’s Integrated Crisis Policy Response Group (IPCR) last week advised member states to impose needs on China’s airlines as the country prepares to ease restrictions despite a wave of new COVID infections.

Travelers will need to provide a negative PCR test conducted 48 hours before arrival, the Cypriot ministry said. In line with EU recommendations, the government will also introduce sewage into airports and planes, he said.
