CVS Health launches free rapid coronavirus test site in Glendale

PHOENIX – CVS Health launched a second free rapid coronavirus testing site in the Valley on Friday.

The west Valley location is CVS’ second community-based coronavirus testing site that provides patients with results on site.

“This new free, rapid community testing site will help build on the progress we have made to ensure everyone has access to life-saving services that will keep themselves, their families, and their community safe,” U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego said in a press release Friday.

CVS previously launched a free rapid testing site in June at the Virginia G. Piper Medical & Dental Clinic for the uninsured in Phoenix which is being run in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul.

On Saturday, Arizona health officials reported 1,054 new coronavirus cases and 56 deaths, bringing the state’s totals to 186,107 COVID-19 infections and 4,137 fatalities.

The site is located at 6030 N. 43rd. Ave. in Glendale and it is open by appointment Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Patients can preregister by calling 602-212-4981.
