Historical and cultural sites closed to the public opened this weekend. France 24 hounds were in the crowd at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. They saw carpenters demonstrate the medieval techniques that will be needed to repair the cathedral after it broke through the chimney in April. 14, 2019.
“These are the ones that were in use in Notre-Dame in the 13th century, but they are still very much alive,” explains Francois Calame, founder of the charpentiers sans frontiares volunteer organization.
