Crossing from Aberdeen to Portugal restored via airline

From tomorrow an air address from Aberdeen will be restored to a European holiday destination.

Ryanair will provide a weekly service to Faro in Portugal as a component of its 2020 summer programme.

Guests can now electronically book a summer getaway to the popular beach hotel, as Ryanair has brought a new set of fitness measures for everyone on board.

Eimear Ryan of Ryanair said: “Ryanair is very happy to announce that it is re-establishing the Aberdeen-Faro direction from its 2020 summer programme.”

Roger Hunt, acting managing director of Aberdeen International Airport, added: “This is a positive step for us, and we warmly welcome the restart of Faro’s leadership to Aberdeen International Airport.”

“Ryanair is already serving Alicante and Malaga from our airport and after several very difficult months and with the blockade starting to show signs of slowdown, it is wonderful to see that the airline continues to show its confidence in our airport and our community.

“This extra complements the one that can be obtained from all our partner airlines.

“As traffic increases, we are also focusing more on maintaining public and our country’s protection by introducing a number of enhanced security measures. The safe resumption of operations remains a key priority.”
