LISBONNE, Portugal – Cristiano Ronaldo has the high-level soccer star of lacheck to test positive for coronavirus.
The Portuguese football federation said Tuesday that Ronaldo is fine and showed no symptoms after positive for his country’s national team.
He walked away and excluded himself from the League of Nations opposite Sweden on Wednesday in Lisbon.
Ronaldo, one of the top prolific scorers in sports history, played a 0-0 draw against France in the League of Nations on Sunday and a 0-0 draw against Spain in a friendly last week.
On Monday, the Juventus striker posted a photo on Twitter and Instagram featuring him and the rest of the Portuguese national team having dinner together, the players were all together at a table, with a smiling Ronaldo taking the picture on his forehead.
Alongside the tweet, Ronaldo wrote, in Portuguese, “United on and off the field!”
Last month, Ronaldo, 35, was the time when the male footballer triumphed in a hundred goals for the national team, after former Iranian striker Ali Daei.
Players who recently tested positive for COVID-19 come with Neymar, Kylian Mbappé, Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala, Angel Di Maria, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Diego Costa.
The Portuguese federation said Ronaldo’s result had led to a circular of testing for the rest of the national team and that all other team members tested negative.
Tuesday’s practice consultation went from morning to afternoon, so there’s time for all the effects to return.
The Portuguese federation did not promptly reveal the main points of where Ronaldo was or how long he remained.
The Portuguese record said Ronaldo’s positive result came after his check on Monday. Players of the national team have been checked seven times in the last 8 days, Portuguese media said.
On an official scale in Belgium, Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said he already wanted Ronaldo to be the most productive in his recovery and that the Portuguese star underwent a momentary review without delay after confirming the first positive result.
Two other Portuguese players, José Fonte and Anthony Lopes, have recently tested for COVID-19.
Portugal coach Fernando Santos played down last week’s results, saying players were inflamed “all over the world. “
“We are the others tested to the fullest and we are guaranteed that everyone who travels to France with us will be negative,” Santos said before the opposite adjustment to France.
