These are just a few of the words President Donald Trump’s celebrities chose on social media Monday in reaction to their coVID-19 tweets. The president was diagnosed with the deadly and highly infectious disease last week and taken Saturday to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, for remedy and observation. Early Monday night, Trump announced that he was leaving and returning to the White House.
“I’m leaving Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 p. m. ,” Trump tweeted. “I feel smart! Don’t be afraid Covid. No let him dominate your life. Under the Trump administration, we evolved a lot,” smart drugs and knowledge. I feel bigger than I did 20 years ago!”
Later Monday, Trump tweeted images of his return to the White House, where he showed that he had taken off his mask while a photographer took pictures.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the deaths of nearly 210,000 Americans and inflamed more than 7 million.
For many, Trump’s rejection of the gravity and severity of COVID-19 had a bitter note and many expressed their condemnation on Twitter, adding celebrities.
