WASHINGTON – A senior health official in the Trump administration admitted Tuesday that while the country’s testing capabilities are developing dramatically, it is unrealistic to expect Americans to soon have to conduct reasonable diagnostic tests.
“I can’t tell you. This may never happen,” Deputy Health Secretary Admiral Brett Giroir said in a call with reporters, responding to a Yahoo News consultation on when rapid testing would be widely available.
