On January 15, 2023, Twitter user @healthbyjames tweeted a video captioning, “Clair Bridges, 21, fully vaccinated against COVID-19, still has COVID, the vaccine was intended to save him from serious illness, however, Clair had both legs. “amputee, myocarditis, and kidney failure anyway. “
According to Claire Bridges, whom we interviewed for this story, the implication in this tweet about her prestige in vaccination is misleading. In fact, the tweet is so wrong that even Bridges’ first call was misspelled twice.
The user who posted the tweet, @healthbyjames, showed the call of “James Cintolo, RN FN CPT. “
The account featured a blue checkmark that only gave the impression that the user had subscribed to Twitter Blue for $8 a month. In other words, the account hadn’t earned a blue Twitter checkmark to be noticeable or a legacy verified account. .
An AFP report detailing an allegedly erroneous tweet via Cintolo described him as “a Boston nurse writing about suspected adverse events after COVID-19 vaccination. “
Despite the misleading nature of Cintolo’s tweet, the video attached to the post showed a tally of nearly 600,000 views, showing how many other people were able to see the post. The tweet also gained more than 7,000 retweets and 10,000 likes. The video originally arrived here from Bridges’ Instagram account and was reposted on Twitter without his permission.
We reached out to Bridges to find out the fact of his story. According to local reports, she owns a house in St. Petersburg, Florida.
A post on her Instagram account said she was hospitalized on January 16, 2022. That same night, he said he had stopped 3 times.
We first asked him about his prestige in vaccination and sought information about his experience with COVID. In an email, Bridges pointed out something very important that Cintolo didn’t mention in his misleading tweet: He was born with the core disease.
She said:
I got vaccinated 7 months ago. The explanation for why my war against COVID has been so severe has to do with the fact that I have a congenital center disease.
When I had COVID, one complication that arose from COVID was rhabdomyolysis. Rhabdo attacks your muscles, the center is a muscle and mine is very weak (I could no longer pump blood well where I needed to go). As Rhabdo continued to progress, my fitness continued to decline. Less oxygenated blood where it’s needed, severe dehydration, plus all the other symptoms you face when you’re in poor fitness with COVID. My legs began to necrotize and to avoid sepsis, I was to be amputated. My legs were amputated because of COVID/Rhabdo, not the vaccine.
For those who don’t have any of the facts to say anything other than that, it’s incredibly rude, harmful, and disrespectful.
As for his claim that he had myocarditis and kidney failure, I did. However, it wasn’t just my kidneys that were failing, though. I stopped 3 times. On January 16, 2022, I went on life support and added 24-hour dialysis.
In our question at the time, we particularly asked about Cintolo’s misleading tweet.
In his response, Bridges pointed out the nature of the tweet about her around the one-year anniversary of the date she said she had stopped. This first anniversary took place on January 16, 2023.
Bridges began by referring to Cintolo:
This Twitter account was not allowed to use my story. He also miswrote my call and passed me key data, so he may alter my story to push his private agenda. His message was given to other people to start on my Instagram with hateful and rude messages about me. He completely ignored the fact that I am a human being, what I enjoyed and experienced was traumatic, and he continued to tell my story in a destructive way. A day or two before my death/life day too, so it was great to receive those terrible comments a day after my first flatlining anniversary.
Our final inquiry to Bridges was whether she would like to thank those who cared for her for her treatment and recovery. He talked about a smart number of caregivers, many of whom had appeared on his Instagram account:
Yes! I don’t think anyone has ever asked me that, so thank you. There are literally so many puts and other people who have helped me, yet all my caregivers, doctors, surgeons and nurses at Tampa General Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital. Steve Chamberlain’s 50 legs Org. , Prosthetic and Orthotic Associates of Orlando, Grassroots Kava House and Vertical Ventures (it’s my climbing and kava network that organized fundraisers and supported me all the time) and, Of course, my circle of family and friends who took care of me physically and mentally.
A GoFundMe created for Bridges. Au on Jan. 23, had already raised $137,687 from a $150,000 purpose.
