New Delhi – India reported more than 64,500 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the total number of others in the South Asian country who tested positive for the disease to more than 2.76 million. India remains the third most affected country, the United States and Brazil, in terms of the total number of cases, but is at the most sensitive level in terms of new infections.
Over the more than 15 days, India has reported more new cases of COVID-19 than any other country in the world. The country has added 913,473 new instances in the last 15 days, an average of 60,898 consistent with the day. The total number of cases shown since the start of the pandemic has doubled in just 24 days.
If India’s infection rate continues to rise, India will soon be able to outperform Brazil so far in the world’s worst-affected country in terms of number of cases.
India has largely eliminated what began as the world’s most giant coronavirus blockade. In March, the government ordered its 1.3 billion people to remain inside for fundamental reasons. Most companies were already allowed to reopen in giant portions of the country a few weeks ago, however, there are still limited restrictions on giant meetings and some virus hot spots.
While India’s infection figures are alarming, india has reported a lower mortality rate and a higher cure rate than the maximum of other pandemic-affected countries.
But on Wednesday, India reported 1,099 coronavirus deaths, their highest death toll in a day to date, bringing the total death toll to more than 53,000. That’s still less than part of the number of other people who have officially died from the disease in Brazil, and that’s negligible compared to the more than 175,000 lives lost in the United States, even though both countries have very high totals.
Out of a total of 2.76 million cases in India, more than 2 million people have recovered, a cure rate of more than 73%. By comparison, the United States has a recovery rate of just over 53%.
“The increased number of recoveries and the minimum in the number of deaths have shown that India’s gradual strategy has worked,” India’s Ministry of Fitness said Wednesday.
But experts continue to express their fears that the Indian government will underestimate coronavirus deaths.
The World Health Organization and independent experts have raised considerations about the low detection rates in the world’s most populous country at the moment. India has administered more than 31 million tests, however, this represents only about 23,000 evidence consistent with millions of people, less than proportionally in the United States, Russia and many European countries.
While India’s alleged low mortality rate and high recovery rates seem to be good news, some of india’s experts have not yet experienced the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic, and the actual figures, when they arise, are possibly grim.
