A district court on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit for damages filed against a private university in Tokyo by a former student for tuition he paid during the pandemic.

“It can’t be said that offering online-only courses is incredibly unreasonable,” said Masakazu Nishimori, president of the Tachikawa branch of the Tokyo District Court.
