Covid recovery rises to 71.61%: Ministry of Health

The number of other people in India who recovered from Covid-19 exceeded 18 lakh on Saturday with a record 57381 patients discharged in 24 hours, bringing the healing rate to 71.61%, according to the knowledge of the Ministry of Health.

With more patients recovering and leaving hospitals and home isolation, the total number of cures amounts to 18,08936.

“The gap between the number of patients cured and active instances of Covid-19 has increased to 11 lakh (11,40,716 today). This is the result of coordinated efforts by the Center, the state and the UT that have led to a continuous accumulation in average recoveries,” the ministry said.

There are 6,68220 active instances of Covid-19, representing the actual workload of the country, or 26.45% of total instances. They’re active medical supervision, the Ministry of Health said.

The emphasis on effective remedy in hospitals, supervised isolation at home, the use of non-invasive oxygen support, advanced ambulance facilities for an immediate and timely remedy, and the improvement of the clinical control capabilities of physicians treating covid-19 patients have together resulted in effective and transparent patient control. “This has ensured that India’s Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is maintained below the global average. It is on a continuous positive slide and currently stands at 1.94 per cent,” the ministry said.

To stick to this strategy, the network of control laboratories is frequently strengthened, which now includes 1,465 laboratories, 968 in the public sector and 497 in the private sector.
