India recorded a sharp rise in Covid-19 cases on Thursday, to 10,158 compared to the previous day. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of active infections stands at 44,998. This comes as the country sees a surge in cases, with Maharashtra and Delhi reporting more than 1,000 cases on Wednesday for the first time this year.
