Covid: One-day accumulation in new cases is 10,158 in India

India saw an increase of 10,158 coronavirus cases in a single day, in just eight months, while 19 more deaths were recorded, four of which were reconciled in Kerala on Thursday.

According to the latest knowledge of the Union Ministry of Health, the number of active instances has increased to 44,998.

With the additional 19 deaths, the number of deaths from the virus rose to 5,31,035.

The new deaths recorded included nine from Maharashtra, two from Gujarat and one each from Delhi, Kerala, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu and four from Kerala, according to data updated at 8 a. m.

The 10,158 deaths reported Wednesday are in 230 days. A total of 10,256 cases were recorded on August 26 last year.

India had reported 7,830 coronavirus infections on Wednesday.

The daily positivity rate recorded 4. 42%, while the weekly positivity rate was 4. 02%. Active instances now account for 0. 10% of total infections.

The national recovery rate from COVID-19 registered 98. 71%, according to the Ministry of Health’s website. The case fatality rate was 1. 19%.

The number of other people who recovered from the disease increased to 4,42,10,127.

According to the ministry’s website, 220. 66 million doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country.
