Last week’s infection rate was 1. 08, down from 1. 15 last week.

The largest accumulation in infection rates over the past week has been among other seniors aged 75 to 79, where it has reached nearly 70%.

Among those over 60 years of age overall, the proportion of positive tests increased to 32. 3%.

By contrast, the number of new cases among school-age youth dropped by just over half.

According to the hospitalization matrix, the existing coronavirus transmission point is classified as medium.

The weekly number of new symptomatic Covid hospitalizations increased from 7. 1 to 8. 4.

Mortality

Last week, another 14 people died after contracting Covid, with an average age of those who died at 78. 4. Of these, six were unvaccinated, while 8 were fully vaccinated. All those who died had pre-existing ailments or conditions, with Covid being the leading cause of death for six of the 14.

90% of adults have antibodies

According to the most recent results of the coronavirus prevalence study conducted by the University of Tartu, the number of other people with antiviral antibodies has reached an all-time high. 30 adults are at risk of infection.

Almost 92% of those who participated in the screening test had antibodies against the coronavirus, an indicator that has exceeded 3% in the last month.

Ruth Kalda, a professor of family medicine and director of the Institute of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of Tartu, said the result was expected because the number of other people inflamed in the previous testing phase was incredibly high.

The most productive opposites of the virus are those who have been vaccinated with antibodies.

In 77% of cases, when other people gained antibodies only after contracting the virus, that is, without having been vaccinated, antibodies were still present.

Antibodies were also detected in 57% of those who had not been vaccinated or who knew they had coronavirus, a figure that saw the highest accumulation over the past month.

According to Kalda, this statistic confirms that the virus continued to spread, but the symptoms of those affected were very mild.

The study’s behavioral survey shows a continued decrease in the point of perceived threat related to the capture and spread of the virus. Although the number of exposures to other potentially inflamed people has decreased somewhat, the vast majority of participants are still not taking any steps to save you from the spread of the virus.

Preparation for booster shots is highest among older age groups, with nearly a portion of those over 65 respondents making plans to get vaccinated a third time. The numbers are higher for men than for women.
