Kansas reported fewer coronavirus cases in the week ending Sunday, adding 4401 new cases. That’s 23. 2% less than last week’s tally of 5734 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.
Kansas ranked 15th among the states where the coronavirus spread the fastest, according to a study by Johns Hopkins University’s USA TODAY data network. Over the past week, coronavirus cases in the United States have declined 4. 7% from beyond the week, with 507,209 cases reported. With 0. 88 percent of the nation’s population, Kansas recorded 0. 87 percent of the nation’s cases last week. Nationwide, 3 states have had more cases in the week since than in the week since.
The Labor Day holiday would possibly have replaced the number of other people who can get tested and when, and when governments report the effects of testing and deaths. This will distort comparisons from week to week.
Saline County has reported 111 and one death in the past week. A week earlier, he had reported 131 and no deaths. During the pandemic, it has reported 15,864 and 250 deaths.
In Kansas, cases declined in 72 counties, with the most productive declines in Douglas County, from 0 cases to 225 last week; in Johnson County, with 625 out of 801 cases; and Shawnee County, with 265 out of 416 cases.

In Kansas, the worst weekly outbreaks per user occurred in Lane County with 456 cases per 100,000 per week; Crawford County with 397; and Cowley County with 361. The Centers for Disease Control says the highest levels of network transmission start at 100 instances per 100,000 per week.
Sedgwick County, with 939 instances, added the maximum number of new instances overall; Johnson County, with 625 instances; and Shawnee County, with 265. The number of weekly instances was higher in 26 counties than last week. Last week’s worst speed increases occurred in Harper, Crawford and Sumner counties.
In Kansas, another 10 people were reported to have died of COVID-19 in the week ending Sunday. Last week, another 61 people died.
A total of 869,254 more people in Kansas have tested positive for the coronavirus since the pandemic began, and another 9,029 people have died from the disease, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. In the United States, 95,250,705 more people tested positive and 1,050,323 other people died.
