Iowa reported 4909 new coronavirus cases in the week ending Sunday, up from 4938 last week of the virus that causes COVID-19.
Iowa ranked 22nd among the states where the coronavirus spread the fastest, according to a study by Johns Hopkins University’s USA TODAY knowledge network. Over the past week, coronavirus cases in the United States have declined 17. 1% since the following week, with 543,317 cases reported. With 0. 95 percent of the nation’s population, Iowa recorded 0. 9 percent of the nation’s cases last week. Nationwide, 16 states had more cases in the following week than in the following week.
The Labor Day holiday would likely have replaced the number of other people who can be controlled and when, and when governments report the effects and deaths of controls. This will distort comparisons from week to week.
Johns Hopkins University received information about an erratic Iowa calendar, distorting week-to-week comparisons.
Johnson County has reported 293 and no deaths in the past week. A week earlier, he had reported 310 and no deaths. Throughout the pandemic, it has reported 41,323 and 157 deaths.

Polk County, with 854 instances, added the maximum number of new instances overall; Linn County, with 384 instances; and Johnson County, with 293. The number of weekly instances is higher in 44 counties than last week. Last week’s worst speed increases occurred in Polk, Story and Poweshiek counties.

In Iowa, cases fell in 50 counties, with declines in Scott County, with 218 cases from 360 the previous week; in Clinton County, with 84 out of 137 cases; and Woodbury County, with 143 out of 173 cases.
In Iowa, another 33 people were reported to have died from COVID-19 in the week ending Sunday. Last week, another 25 people died.
A total of 843,034 more people in Iowa have tested positive for the coronavirus since the pandemic began, and another 9,940 people have died from the disease, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. In the United States, 94,748,404 more people tested positive and 1,047,498 other people died.
