New coronavirus cases rose in Illinois in the week ending Sunday, emerging 20. 1% as 33,066 cases were reported. Last week there were 27,543 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.
Illinois ranked 19th among the states where the coronavirus spread the fastest, according to a study of data from Johns Hopkins University’s USA TODAY network. Over the past week, coronavirus cases in the U. S. have been reported. with 947,862 cases reported. With 3. 81 percent of the nation’s population, Illinois recorded 3. 49 percent of the nation’s cases last week. Nationwide, 42 states had more cases in the week after than in the week after.
The July 4 holiday interrupted who checked, when other people were checked, and when the effects of the test and deaths were reported. This can particularly skew comparisons from week to week.
Henry County has reported cases and no deaths in the past week. A week earlier, it had reported 69 cases and no deaths. During the pandemic, it has reported 13,656 cases and 121 deaths.

In Illinois, the worst weekly outbreaks per user occurred in Hardin County with 680 cases per 100,000 per week; Gallatin County with 642; and Marshall County with 595. The Centers for Disease Control says the network’s highest levels of transmission start at 100 instances per 100,000 per week.
Cook County, with 12,757 instances, added the maximum number of new instances overall; DuPage County, with 2504 instances; and Will County, with 1859. The number of weekly instances is higher in 85 counties than last week. The worst increases from last week’s speed came in Cook, DuPage and Will counties.

“In Illinois, cases fell in 16 counties, with the most productive declines in Adams County, with 276 cases up from 309 the previous week; Douglas County, with 36 out of 58 cases; and Bureau County, with 66 out of 87 cases. “€‹
In Illinois, another 77 people were reported to have died from COVID-19 in the week ending Sunday. Last week, another 59 people were pronounced dead.
A total of another 3,496,014 people in Illinois have tested positive for the coronavirus since the pandemic began, and another 38,737 people have died from the disease, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. In the United States, another 89,542,107 people tested positive and another 1,023,799 people died.
