ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria residents will have one less option for COVID-19 when Curative kiosks close Dec. 26.
According to the city government, Curative finalized all of its control sites in the region. Locations in Alexandria come with a mobile van at Casa Chirilagua, 4109 Mt Vernon Ave. ; Ben Brenman Park, 4800 Brenman Park; and Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe St. Mobile screening sites provide loose PCR controls, regardless of insurance.
Since curative testing sites opened in January 2021, only about 195,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted. Decreased testing call and availability of at-home testing were cited as reasons for the closure of curative testing sites.
