India has recorded 2,430 new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Affairs said on Saturday.

According to the ministry, a total of 89. 83 crore tests have been conducted, while in the last 24 hours 2,41,707 tests have been carried out.
“A total of 219. 27 doses of CR vaccines (Rs 94. 95 crore momentary dose and Rs 21. 81 crore of precautionary doses) have been administered as a component of the national vaccination campaign,” the ministry said.
Earlier, “Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsava”, introduced on July 15 this year to boost the precautionary dose as a component of the national Covid vaccination campaign, which ended after the management of more than 15. 92 crore of precautionary doses, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The ministry said more than 76. 18 crore of the first dose, 2. 35 crore of the current dose and 15. 92 million rupees of the precautionary dose were administered over the 75-day period.
“More than 24. 73 lakh of doses consistent with the day have been administered, adding 20. 68 lakh of precautionary doses consistent with the day,” he said, adding that with the intervention of a 75-day flexible vaccination campaign, 27% of the eligible population has now gained their precautionary dose because only 8% prior to the start of the initiative.
As a component of the Amrit Mahotsava Covid vaccination, it was suggested that all states and UTs lead the crusade as “Jan Abhiyan” with a large mass mobilization, camp approach.
Several special vaccination camps were organized on the roads of Char Dham Yatra (Uttarakhand), Amarnath Yatra (Jammu and Kashmir), Kanwar Yatra (all states and UT of northern India) as Melas and primary congregations.
In addition, special vaccination camps were held in complexes, commercial establishments, railway stations, interstate bus stations, schools and colleges.
