New Delhi: India recorded 31 new Covid infections in the past 24 hours, while active cases stand at 249, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.
The death toll was recorded at 5,33,298, according to ministry data updated at 8:00 a. m.
On Saturday, the country saw a backlog of 42 new Covid infections in a single day, while active cases were recorded at 241.
This comes against a backdrop of growth in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines.
