Cairo: Kuwait recorded 900 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, up from 667 reported the previous day, bringing the country’s total number of infections to 87378, a fitness official said today.
The total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country reached 536 with a new death, Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.
There are 90 patients receiving intensive care, said Dr. Al Sanad, according to the Kuwaiti news firm KUNA.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 582 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in more than 24 hours, bringing the total number of cures for the disease in Kuwait to 78,791.
Kuwait’s Minister of Health, Dr. Basel Al Sabah, asked others to practice antivirus precautions, warning them to return to the starting point.
“Let’s cooperate to reduce infections by respecting fitness situations to openness without wanting to go back to the starting point,” he said today on his Twitter account.
Earlier this week, Kuwait lifted a curfew imposed for more than five months to restrict COVID-19.
