A Resident of West End Villa died Saturday night of COVID-19 and a recently deceased resident tested positive for COVID-19.
There have now been deaths of residents in that outbreak, according to Extendicare, who runs the long-term care home on Elmira Drive.
In a letter to families dated Saturday, Extendicare said that according to public fitness guidelines, citizens who died without COVID-19 headaches are being examined. A press on Sunday night announced the most recent death.

Quebec today reports 462 new instances of COVID-19, reaching a multi-month high for now on a consecutive day.
The province reported 427 new cases on Saturday, which is already the highest daily count since last May.
