SINGAPORE: Visitors entering Singapore from 11:59 p. m. on Sunday 8 November with a history of more than 14 days to Estonia or Norway will have to fulfill their era of making it to stay at home in compromised facilities.
This is due to a “strong increase” in the number of COVID-19s in Estonia and Norway last week, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said Friday.
Those who have already travelled to Estonia and Norway will have to complete their 14-day period in compromised facilities, even if they have been granted permission to retire earlier.
The Ministry of Health announced on 27 October that people from any of the countries will be able to work in a suitable position upon arrival in Singapore.
Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg on Thursday called on Norwegians to shelter as much as possible, after tightening restrictions on meetings last week. The country registered 3,118 new instances of COVID-19 last week, up from 1,718 instances last week, Reuters reported.
Estonia reported 241 new cases of COVID-19 in the more than 24 hours on Friday, on the website of its Ministry of Health.
TRAVELLERS FROM CERTAIN COUNTRIES ALLOWED TO APPLY FOR EXCLUSION
Travelers from Fiji, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey can still choose not to participate in the committed amenities and fulfill their era of realization or remain in their position if they meet the following conditions:
– I have not travelled to any country or region other than those mentioned above, as well as to Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macau, mainland China, Malaysia (with the exception of Sabah), New Zealand, Taiwan and Vietnam in the last 14 consecutive days before entry.
– occupy your apartment position alone or only with family members who are also people who are the subject of a home apartment realization with the same history and duration of realization.
COVID-19 tests will still be administered before the end of the home era, the Ministry of Health said.
“All travelers are reminded to claim their travel history. Strict enforcement measures will be taken against false statements,” the fitness ministry said.
“As the world evolves, we will continue to adjust our border measures to handle the threat of import and transmission to the community,” the ministry added.
Travellers are asked to check the Safe Travel Office’s online page for the latest border measures before entering Singapore. They are ready to be subject to existing border measures upon entry, adding payment of their stay at compromised facilities, testing and treatments, the Ministry of Health said.
