COVID-19 violations: gyms, shops and 12 other corporations fined in Dubai

Dubai: Outlets in shopping malls, sewing and embroidery department stores and gyms in Wadi Al Safa 7, Al Hebiah Second and Al Rashidiya are among 12 advertising institutions that were fined for disobeying COVID-19-like precautionary measures on Dubai Tuesday.

Fines were imposed on box inspection visits to the Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector of Dubai’s economy in the emirate.

The lack of commitment of workers to wear a mask and not taking the mandatory measures to make a certain physical distance were the main infractions discovered in the inspections, which were carried out in fitness centers in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council.

The CCCP also issued warnings to five other establishments for applying the required physical distance labels.

Overall, yesterday’s inspections found that 767 retail establishments and advertising institutions were fully complying with precautionary measures.

Dubai’s economy has called on the general public to cooperate and contribute to the preservation of the emirate’s achievements despite the major demanding situations posed by the global pandemic.

He asked them to report any breach of precautionary commands in the Dubai Consumer app or by calling 600545555 or visiting the Consumerrights. ae.
