Kerala reported 292 new active COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths on Dec. 19, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The total number of active cases in the state is 2,041, and the total number of other people who have died of COVID in Kerala since it emerged 3 years ago has reached 72,056.
On Tuesday, the state’s fitness minister, Veena George, said that despite the rise in COVID-19 cases in Kerala, there is nothing to worry about as the state is well prepared to deal with the viral infection.
The minister also said that orders have been issued to provide special amenities to COVID-19 patients and the availability of isolation rooms, rooms, oxygen beds, intensive care beds and ventilators in hospitals.
In India, a total of 341 new cases were reported as of 8 a. m. m. de today. The number of people recovered, released, or migrated within 24 hours of the diagnosis of the infection is 224.
Therefore, the total number of cases in this has increased to 68. 37. 203 to date.
